Check for missing cost of goods
Your profit figures depend on your costs. The Missing and Replen Check filters on the Cost of Goods page show you which products need a cost, and which costs need a quick check. Going through them regularly keeps your profit figures right.
Which filter does what
- Missing: products with no cost yet, usually new ones. Do these first.
- Replen Check: new shipments of a product that already has a cost. Check the cost shown is still right.
- Holding Check: costs brought in from a linked sourcing tool, shown only if you've linked one. Use the same Check All and Save steps.
Clear the Missing filter
Open Cost of Goods, choose Missing and enter a cost for each product. Until you do, sales of those products show more profit than you really made, because no cost is taken off. Add your cost of goods explains how, in the app or by spreadsheet.
Clear the Replen Check filter
- Open the filter. Choose Replen Check on Cost of Goods.
- Review each row. If a cost has changed, click Edit Costs on the row and correct it before you go on.
- Tick the rows you're happy with. Use the tick box on each row, or Check All at the top of the list to tick them all.
- Click Save. The rows you ticked leave the list.
Check All is quickest when nothing has changed. If your prices do change between shipments, look at each row first.
Costs for relisted SKUs
If you create a new SKU for a product you've sold before, STK can fill in the cost from the same ASIN and mark it for you to check. To control this, go to the Cost of Goods section of Settings and use Populate cost of goods from the previous ASIN when the SKU is not found. Turn it off if SKUs on the same product can have different costs.
