Re-raise a closed case
If Amazon closed or rejected a reimbursement case, you can file a fresh one for the same items without doing it by hand. This might happen if you didn't reply in time, or Amazon only offered live chat.
You'll need the SellerToolKit browser extension. If it isn't installed, STK shows you a link. See raise reimbursement cases.
Before you start
Only re-raise a case Amazon has closed or rejected. Re-raising a case that's still open creates a duplicate. If you're not sure, look the case up in Seller Central first.
Re-raise a case
- Open the SKU's Reconcile Dashboard. See check a SKU on the Reconcile Dashboard.
- Scroll to the Case Log card. It lists each case with its Case ID and Date Raised.
- Tick the cases you want to re-raise. Tick one, or several to do them together.
- Click Re-raise selected. The button shows how many you've ticked.
- Read the warning, then click Continue. STK files a brand-new case for those items.
The new case follows your usual setting. If you chose to review each case, the extension stops so you can check it and submit it yourself. If you chose automatic, it submits for you. You can change this in Settings → Other Settings.
Which cases you can re-raise
- Cases the SellerToolKit tool raised: yes, in most cases.
- Cases you raised yourself: no. The tick box is greyed out.
- Older cases: possibly not. If so, you'll see Nothing to re-raise.
If you can't re-raise a case here, you can still contact Amazon Seller Support yourself.
Good to know
- You re-raise one SKU at a time. Open each product's dashboard in turn.
- Team users need edit access to Reconciliation. Without it, there are no tick boxes and no Re-raise selected button.
- If Amazon asked for something only you can give it, re-raising won't help. See claims that need you.
