Finish Amazon reimbursement claims marked Needs you
A claim marked Needs you is one where Amazon wants something STK can't give it, such as an invoice. Amazon hasn't turned it down. You can still claim it, but only by raising the case yourself.
Where to find these claims
- On the FBA Reconciliation Inventory page: click Claims that need you. This list stays on your account, so it's the best place to work from.
- In the extension: a number on the SellerToolKit icon in your browser toolbar shows how many claims need you. Click the icon to see them. If you can't see it, pin it from the puzzle-piece Extensions menu in Chrome.
The extension's list doesn't last. It clears when you start a new run, including a run for one SKU, or when you press Stop. It also clears if you press Cancel on the “No e-mail option right now” box.
These claims aren't counted in your Overdue figure, so don't rely on that figure to remind you.
Finish a claim
- Click Claims that need you.
- Read the entry. Each one shows the SKU, the order or reference, What Amazon asked and What to do.
- Do what it says. This usually means raising a case with Amazon Seller Support yourself and attaching what Amazon wants.
What Amazon usually asks for
- A reimbursement ID and an invoice: raise a case for the SKU and attach the invoice for the item. STK can't send an invoice on your behalf.
- Amazon couldn't find the order: raise a case and quote the order ID.
- No answer from Amazon: raise a case for the SKU and claim it by hand.
What you see may be more specific than this. Always follow the wording on the claim itself.
Will STK try again?
No. STK won't raise a Needs you claim again, so it's only claimed if you raise it. The rest of your run still goes through.
Needs you or Not eligible?
- Needs you: Amazon hasn't said no. It's waiting on something from you.
- Not eligible: Amazon has turned the claim down. Click Not eligible for reimbursement to see the reason. You don't need to do anything.
To raise cases, see raise reimbursement cases. For a case Amazon closed after it was filed, see re-raise a closed case.
