Compare sales periods

Compare your Amazon sales across periods in three ways: Time Series, the Compare button and the arrows on your tiles. They tell you if this week beat last month, or if sales are slowing down.

See four periods at once with Time Series

Time Series is one of the four layouts on your dashboard. It puts four columns side by side, each on its own period. They start at 7, 30, 90 and 360 days.

  1. Open the dashboard. Click Time Series at the top of the page.
  2. Change a column. Open the period menu at the top of the column and choose a preset. The other columns stay as they are.
  3. Read across. The same figures line up across the columns, so a short period pulling away from a longer one stands out.

STK keeps your column choices, except Life Time, unlike the period picker on the other layouts. Time Series columns use presets only, so there are no custom dates here.

Compare with the previous period

The Profit chart has a Compare button, for the whole business or one product.

  1. Pick your period. Use the period picker on the Profit chart.
  2. Click Compare. A dashed line shows Net profit for the previous period that matches your period.
  3. Read the breakdown panel. Most lines now show their change. Green is better and red is worse, so a cost that grew shows in red.

Today against all of yesterday, Month To Date against the full previous month, and Year to Date against the full previous year compare unequal lengths. Life Time has no previous period, so Compare is switched off.

Use the arrows on your tiles

Dashboard tiles show an up or down arrow against the previous period that matches your period. So do the tiles on Orders and Finance Activity. It's the quickest check, because there's nothing to set up.

Which one to use

  • A quick health check: the arrows on your tiles.
  • Spotting a trend early: Time Series, watching the 7 day column against the 30 day column.
  • Working out what changed: Compare, because the panel shows which line moved.

To see which products drove a change, open Top Sellers and try each period in turn.
