Test a price with the What If calculator
Use the What If calculator to test a price before you change it, or to find the price that gives you the profit you want. STK has two places to work that out, and both start on a product's Link Menu. You don't need the repricer to use them.
Quick answers with the Calculator
The Calculator is the safe place to try ideas, because it never changes anything on Amazon.
- Open it. Click Calculator for SKU on the Link Menu.
- Check your costs. Change Unit Cost or Other Costs if you want to test a new buying price. FBM products also show Shipping Cost and Shipping Charge.
- Change one figure. Type a new Sell Price, Profit, RoI or Margin. The other figures update to match.
- Start again. Click Reset, or close the popup when you're done.
Test each marketplace with All Markets
All Markets shows the product in each marketplace you sell in, so you can test them side by side.
- Open it. Click All Markets on the Link Menu.
- Change one figure. On any marketplace, type a new Your Price, Profit, RoI or Margin, then pause for a moment. The others update.
- Decide. Click Reset to go back to the saved values. Nothing changes on Amazon unless you save.
- Save, if you want the new price. Click Save to send the price to Amazon. Save and Close does the same and closes the panel.
If you use the repricer, Save only sends your price when Repricing is off for that marketplace. When it's on, the repricer sets the price and the figures here are for information.
Questions to try
- What if I drop my price? Type the new price and read the profit.
- What price makes me a set profit? Type the profit you want and read the price.
- What price hits my target return? Type your ROI or margin and read the price.
The results depend on your costs, so add your cost of goods first. For more on the figures, see profit, ROI and margin. A good place to start is your unprofitable products.
