Help centre · Getting started and account
Create your account and connect Amazon
Setting up takes four steps: your details, your email, your marketplace, then Amazon's approval. It's 14 days free and no card is needed.
Before you start
You need an Amazon Professional selling plan. STK can't connect to an account on the Individual plan. You can switch in Seller Central under Settings → Account Info.
Step by step
- Enter your details. Click Start 14 days free, fill in the form and click Start my free trial. Your password needs at least 12 characters.
- Confirm your email. Open the email from SellerToolKit and click the link. It works for 7 days, and the Check your inbox page has a Send it again button.
- Choose your marketplace. Pick the marketplace you sell in most, then click Authorize with Amazon.
- Approve access on Amazon. Amazon shows you what you're approving, then brings you straight back to STK.
What connecting does
- STK uses your Amazon data to show your profit.
- Nothing on your Amazon account changes by itself.
- Repricing, maximum order quantities and review requests are each a tool you switch on, and off, yourself.
- You can revoke access in Seller Central at any time.
What happens next
- Your 14 days start when Amazon connects. There's nothing to pay and no plan to pick yet.
- STK loads your data and emails you when you can sign in, usually within minutes. Larger accounts can take up to an hour. You can close the page.
- Orders, fees and the rest keep loading after that, and STK emails you again when everything is in.
- When you first sign in, STK asks you to set up two-step sign-in with an authenticator app. You can choose Remind me later for the first 14 days.
- You can set up your subscription at any time from Settings. You keep the rest of your free days and aren't charged until they end.
- If your 14 days end without a subscription, STK takes you to choose your plan and set up Direct Debit when you next sign in.
If this Amazon account has had a free trial before, you go straight to the plan page after connecting and payments start immediately.
If something goes wrong
“Amazon would not let us read your seller account”
The most common reason is an Individual selling plan. Switch to Professional, then connect again. If you're already on Professional, email support@sellertoolkit.co.uk and we'll look at it with you.
“That link has expired”
Enter your details again with the same email address. STK sends a fresh link and picks up where you left off. Nothing is lost and nothing is charged.
“That authorization link is no longer valid”
Authorisation links can only be used once. Choose your marketplace and click Authorize with Amazon to start again.
“That Amazon account is already registered”
That Amazon account already has a SellerToolKit account. Sign in to pick up where you left off, or get in touch if you think this is wrong.
